Sweet Girls Playroom & Bedroom, Surbiton
This project was focused on a girls playroom and bedroom in a 1980's, detached house in Surbiton.

This design was for a little girl who wanted a pink princess themed bedroom and a playroom with lots of storage to house her growing number of toys.
Modern playful
The brief for this project was to provide some playful design ideas and layout options for their 4 year old daughter's bedroom and downstairs playroom. Her favourite colour was pink so it was key that this colourway was the main focus of both designs.
For the bedroom, we replaced all the toddler sized furniture with some lovely white pieces very suitable for a princess with mouldings on the bedframe, mirrored wardrobe and chest of drawers. We added a trailing sheer curtain wrapped in fairy lights above the bed as well as a wooden carving of their daughters name. The room was painted in a soft grey with a pretty dusky pink as a feature wall behind the bed and a soft pink rug to complement this.
In the playroom, we kept the pink and grey theme with a pink snuggler chair and pink and grey edged roman blinds as well as a grey rug on the floor. We also added some gorgeous sparkly wallpaper with a subtle leaf pattern and accessorised the wall with some alphabet artwork. The storage unit was bespoke-made to fit a TV unit in the middle with open shelves around to display various trinkets and art pieces and closed cupboards to house the more messy items. We also added a grey and pink desk to work with the design which fitted perfectly in the bay window space.
The overall design here for both rooms is a modern but playful one which will hopefully grow with their daughter over time.
