Scandinavian Living Room, Surbiton
This project was based on a Living room in a modern town house in Surbiton.

This design was for a young family in a suburban townhouse. They wanted to create a new design and colour scheme in their living room which had an awkward l-shaped layout. They also had another living space in their open plan kitchen diner which was used as more of a play area so they wanted this to be a more adult space where they could relax and unwind in the evenings and at weekends.
A Scandinavian feel
The brief was to create a colourful scandi theme in the room and help with the layout of the space. We decided to use a blue and grey colour scheme in this room with the pops of yellow to add some excitement and interest to the space.
The room is painted in a soft grey with a dark blue for the feature wall which work really well together. We had bespoke roman blinds made in a plain blue fabric to match the feature wall and chose a plain grey for the sofa . The overall colour scheme helped create the clean Scandinavian look the clients were looking for and is brightened up with the yellow pops of colour in the cushions and rug. The clients also had a bespoke fitted bookcase installed which utilises the dead space at that side of the room and creates a real purpose. For the furniture, we kept this minimal, again to fit in with the Scandinavian theme but added a bit of copper for some exra interest.
The finished room provides a lovely clean feel with the added pop of yellow giving some fun and interest to the space; very much a modern Scandinavian, but colourful, design.
