Modern Open Plan Extension, Claygate

Muted industrial

The brief was to help with the layout and design of the new open plan extension with a specific focus on the flow throughout the room and within each area of the space. The style they were looking to create was a calm but slightly industrial design with a good use of colour.

We chose a blue and grey as the main colour scheme for the design with a pop of mustard yellow as an accent colour. This can be seen in the dining chairs, the sofa cushions and the kitchen towels. The table, bar stools and floor lamp reflect the industrial design here really well without being too overpowering and are softened by the muted grey and white colours in the kitchen and the blues in the sofa and feature wall.

The flow of the space also works really well here with each area having its own defined space and the lovely leather chair in the corner adds that extra cosy feel.
