Interior Design support for a living room in a detached new build house in Thames Ditton. The clients had recently purchased their home and needed some help with the design of their main living area.

Colourful Scandinavian

The brief was to provide a living room design in a contemporary style, with a Scandinavian theme and a grey/blue colour scheme. The client also wanted an accent colour in orange to complement some artwork they wanted to display from their travels abroad.

The room was already painted in a soft white, so we mainly provided support for the furniture pieces for the room and accessories. We chose a button backed sofa in a dark blue as the key design piece and complemented this with some grey retro style armchairs which both work really well with the client’s African artwork. We also added some key furniture pieces such as a media unit, console table and drinks cabinet which all followed the Scandinavian theme and some brass-based floor and table lighting. The room was then set off with a soft grey and orange geometric rug, some orange accent cushions and a pair of lovely glass and brass coffee tables. These all help bring together a striking, colourful design for the client and their family.
